El Korincho is on a regional metallogenic trend with, and 22 kilometers west of Peñasquito.

This trend is several kilometers wide, and runs from the historic mining area of Conception del Oro, westerly through the high yielding Peñasquito deposit, thru the El Korincho claims and several kilometers beyond.

Significant mineralization and similar geologic, mineralogic, and geophysical environments are encountered along the trend.
Gold/silver mineralization across Peñasquito and El Korincho show similar alteration types, breccias, replacement, veining, geochemistry, mineralogy, and geophysical effects.

Importantly, rock-types at Korincho and Peñasquito are of same age(s) and type(s).
